FileToWeb is a platform for creating, improving, and maintaining accessible web content. Turn PDFs, images, videos, and many other files into responsive, editable web pages, improve them in FileToWeb Studio, and publish through a FileToWeb link or your website.

FileToWeb supports PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs, text and Markdown files; PNG, JPEG, and WebP images; and MP4, MOV, WebM, and M4V videos. You can also create content from a blank page or a template.

Yes. FileToWeb can convert scanned PDFs and visual documents, including tables, diagrams, and magazine layouts. Clear source files produce better results; check names, numbers, table relationships, and image descriptions against the original before sharing.

The web version adapts the content and layout to different screen sizes, so it may not match the PDF page for page visually. You can review the result alongside the source and refine the layout, styling, and content in Studio.

Yes. Start with a blank page, choose a template, or copy an existing published FileToWeb page into your workspace. Then use Studio to develop the content and publish it when ready.

FileToWeb helps you make accessible HTML the default on your website, with WCAG 2.2 AA checks and review workflows to support compliance. Section508.gov recommends prioritizing HTML for federal web content. The ADA Title II rule for state and local governments specifies WCAG 2.1 AA; PDFs kept as optional downloads still need to be assessed under the applicable accessibility requirements.

PDF remediation improves accessibility inside a PDF. FileToWeb creates a web page whose content and structure your team can edit and maintain, rather than adding controls over the original file. If you also need an accessible PDF for download or records, evaluate that file separately.

Yes. In Studio, describe the change you want, such as clearer wording, shorter sections, or step-by-step instructions. You can also run a plain-language workflow. Review the result to make sure deadlines, eligibility requirements, and other important details keep their meaning.

Yes. FileToWeb includes translation workflows for creating language versions of your content. Choose the target language and have a fluent reviewer check the translation, especially names, instructions, and service information, before using it publicly.

Yes. We help you integrate FileToWeb with your CMS of choice, including native WordPress and ProudCity integrations. Publish web pages in place of PDFs, or make HTML the default while keeping PDF downloads for printing. We can work with your team on a custom integration, HTML export, or an API connection that fits your website.

Yes. In FileToWeb Studio, describe the changes you want, review them, save a version, and choose which version goes live. Previous versions remain available for review. Content created through PDF-to-Page can also be edited as a normal WordPress Page.

Yes. You can make the web page the default and offer a PDF download for printing or offline use. The WordPress existing-document workflow preserves your original PDF. For standalone pages and PDF-to-Page drafts, keep the original available separately and add a download link.

Yes. Export published content as HTML and host it on your own website. Published documents also offer PDF and EPUB downloads. Review exported formats separately for accessibility, since each format presents content differently.

Yes. The WordPress integration supports batches of existing PDFs and syncing new uploads, including supported ProudCity documents and meeting materials. Start with representative files, review the results and credit usage, then expand the batch size. Conversion uses credits for the work performed.

In WordPress, sync a changed source PDF to generate an updated HTML version. If you edit the web version in FileToWeb Studio, publish your changes and refresh the WordPress copy. Edits are not automatically synchronized in both directions, so choose where your team will maintain the content.

Publish through WordPress or host exported HTML to use your existing website domain. FileToWeb-hosted pages use FileToWeb links; custom domains for those hosted pages are not self-serve yet. Contact us about a managed setup.

Public HTML makes the content available as text on a web page, with headings, links, and page metadata that search systems can use. Keep pages useful, linked from your site, and available to crawlers. Search indexing, rankings, and inclusion in AI answers depend on the publishing setup and the search provider.

Pro plans for personal accounts start at $20 per month, and Business plans start at $100 per month. New accounts get 10 free credits, with no credit card required; extra credit packs start at $25. We aim to make accessibility affordable, with a credit estimate for each PDF before conversion and clear pricing and credit information on your billing page.

Yes. Business plans include a shared team workspace and pooled credits. Workspace roles control who can access content and manage settings, so editors and administrators can work within the same team.

Yes. Choose Private before creating or uploading the document. New web documents default to Public unless your workspace has saved Private. With Public selected, output can become accessible to anyone with the link when processing finishes. Private controls public access; it does not change the processing terms.

Our standard terms permit FileToWeb and authorized AI providers to use newly submitted content for specified training and improvement purposes, subject to applicable legal and contractual restrictions. This can include private content. Review the Terms and Privacy Policy, and contact us before submitting content that needs different terms.

You retain your existing content rights, and FileToWeb grants continuing rights to the delivered output under its Terms. Canceling a subscription does not by itself end those rights. Export anything you need to keep; continued FileToWeb hosting, API access, and editor access are separate from your rights to the output.
